The Ancient Prophesies from the Jewish prophets predicting who the MESSIAH would be & how he would be presented to mankind.
B'reshiyt (Genesis) 3:15
I will put animosity between you and the woman, and between your descendant and her descendant; he will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.
Fulfillment
Galatians 4:4-5
...but when the appointed time arrived, God sent forth his Son. He was born from a woman, born into a culture in which legalistic perversion of the Torah was the norm, so that he might redeem those in subjection to this legalism and thus enable us to be made God's sons.
B'reshiyt (Genesis) 22:17-18
I will most certainly bless you; and I will most certainly increase your descendants to as many as there are stars in the sky or grains of sand on the seashore. Your descendants will possess the cities of their enemies, and by your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed - because you obeyed my order.
Fulfillment
Messianic Jews (Hebrews) 2:16-17
Indeed, it is obvious that he does not take hold of angels to help them; on the contrary, "He takes hold of the seed of Avraham." This is why he had to become like his brothers in every respect - so that he might become a merciful and faithful cohen gadol in the service of God, making a kapparah for the sins of the people.
D'varim (Deuteronomy) 18:15
ADONAI will raise up for you a prophet like me from among yourselves, from your own kinsmen. You are to pay attention to him...
Fulfillment
Acts 3:19-22
Therefore, repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be erased; so that times of refreshing may come from the Lord's presence; and he may send the Messiah appointed in advance for you, that is, Yeshua. He has to remain in heaven until the time comes for restoring everything, as God said long ago, when he spoke through the holy prophets. For Moshe himself said, 'ADONAI will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You are to listen to everything he tells you.
Yir'm'yahu (Jeremiah) 31:31-33
"Here, the days are coming," says ADONAI, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Isra'el and with the house of Y'hudah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers on the day I took them by their hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt; because they, for their part, violated my covenant, even though I, for my part, was a husband to them," says ADONAI. "For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Isra'el after those days," says ADONAI: "I will put my Torah within them and write it on their hearts; I will be their God, and they will be my people."
Fulfillment
Luke 22:19-20
Also, taking a piece of matzah, he made the b'rakhah, broke it, gave it to them and said, "This is my body, which is being given for you; do this in memory of me." He did the same with the cup after the meal, saying, "This cup is the New Covenant, ratified by my blood, which is being poured out for you."
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 7:14
Therefore Adonai himself will give you people a sign: the young woman will become pregnant, bear a son and name him 'Immanu El [God is with us].
Fulfillment
Mattityahu (Matthew) 1:18-21
Here is how the birth of Yeshua the Messiah took place. When his mother Miryam was engaged to Yosef, before they were married, she was found to be pregnant from the Ruach HaKodesh. Her husband-to-be, Yosef, was a man who did what was right; so he made plans to break the engagement quietly, rather than put her to public shame. But while he was thinking about this, an angel of ADONAI appeared to him in a dream and said, "Yosef, son of David, do not be afraid to take Miryam home with you as your wife; for what has been conceived in her is from the Ruach HaKodesh. She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Yeshua, [which means `ADONAI saves,'] because he will save his people from their sins."
Tehillim (Psalms) 72:9-11
May desert-dwellers bow before him; may his enemies lick the dust. The kings of Tarshish and the coasts will pay him tribute; the kings of Sh'va and S'va will offer gifts. Yes, all kings will prostrate themselves before him; all nations will serve him.
Fulfillment
Mattityahu (Matthew) 2:1-2,10-11
After Yeshua was born in Beit-Lechem in the land of Y'hudah during the time when Herod was king, Magi from the east came to Yerushalayim and asked, "Where is the newborn King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east and have come to worship him." When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. Upon entering the house, they saw the child with his mother Miryam; and they prostrated themselves and worshipped him. Then they opened their bags and presented him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 11:2-3
The Spirit of ADONAI will rest on him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and power, the Spirit of knowledge and fearing ADONAI he will be inspired by fearing ADONAI. He will not judge by what his eyes see or decide by what his ears hear...
Fulfillment
Yochanan (John) 1:31-3
I myself did not know who he was, but the reason I came immersing with water was so that he might be made known to Isra'el." Then Yochanan gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit coming down from heaven like a dove, and remaining on him. I myself did not know who he was, but the one who sent me to immerse in water said to me, `The one on whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining, this is the one who immerses in the Ruach HaKodesh.' And I have seen and borne witness that this is the Son of God."
Yochanan (John) 3:33-36
Whoever does accept what he says puts his seal on the fact that God is true, because the one whom God sent speaks God's words. For God does not give him the Spirit in limited degree -- the Father loves the Son and has put everything in his hands. Whoever trusts in the Son has eternal life. But whoever disobeys the Son will not see that life but remains subject to God's wrath.
Z'kharyah (Zechariah) 9:9
Rejoice with all your heart, daughter of Tziyon! Shout out loud, daughter of Yerushalayim! Look! Your king is coming to you. He is righteous, and he is victorious. Yet he is humble - he's riding on a donkey, yes, on a lowly donkey's colt.
Fulfillment
Mark 11:1-10
As they were approaching Yerushalayim, near Beit-Pagei and Beit-Anyah, by the Mount of Olives, Yeshua sent two of his talmidim with these instructions: "Go into the village ahead of you; and as soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden. Untie it, and bring it here. If anyone asks you, `Why are you doing this?' tell him, `The Lord needs it,' and he will send it here right away." They went off and found a colt in the street tied in a doorway, and they untied it. The bystanders said to them, "What are you doing, untying that colt?" They gave the answer Yeshua had told them to give, and they let them continue. They brought the colt to Yeshua and threw their robes on it, and he sat on it. Many people carpeted the road with their clothing, while others spread out green branches which they had cut in the fields. Those who were ahead and those behind shouted, "Please! Deliver us!"m "Blessed is he who comes in the name of ADONAI!" "Blessed is the coming Kingdom of our father David!" and, "You in the highest heaven! Please! Deliver us!"
Mal'akhi (Malachi) 3:1
Look! I am sending my messenger to clear the way before me; and the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple. Yes, the messenger of the covenant, in whom you take such delight - look! Here he comes," says ADONAI-Tzva'ot.
Fulfillment
Mattityahu (Matthew) 21:12-13
Yeshua entered the Temple grounds and drove out those who were doing business there, both the merchants and their customers. He upset the desks of the money changers and knocked over the benches of those who were selling pigeons. He said to them, "It has been written, `My house will be called a house of prayer.' But you are making it into a den of robbers!"
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 35:4-6
Say to the fainthearted, "Be strong and unafraid! Here is your God; he will come with vengeance; with God's retribution he will come and save you." Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped; then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the mute person's tongue will sing. For in the desert, springs will burst forth, streams of water in the 'Aravah...
Fulfillment
Mattityahu (Matthew) 11:5, 21:14
... the blind are seeing again, the lame are walking, people with tzara'at are being cleansed, the deaf are hearing, the dead are being raised,y the Good News is being told to the poor... Blind and lame people came up to him in the Temple, and he healed them.
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 53:2-12
For before him he grew up like a young plant, like a root out of dry ground. He was not well-formed or especially handsome; we saw him, but his appearance did not attract us. People despised and avoided him, a man of pains, well acquainted with illness. Like someone from whom people turn their faces, he was despised; we did not value him. {John 8:48-52 Mark14:27, 50} In fact, it was our diseases he bore {Matt 8:16}, our pains from which he suffered; yet we regarded him as punished, stricken and afflicted by God. {Mark14:61-65} But he was wounded because of our crimes {1Pet3:16 Matt27:35}, crushed because of our sins; the disciplining that makes us whole fell on him, and by his bruises we are healed. {1Pet2:21-24} We all, like sheep, went astray {Pet2:25}; we turned, each one, to his own way; yet ADONAI laid on him the guilt of all of us {Rom 5:5-8}. Though mistreated, he was submissive - he did not open his mouth. Like a lamb led to be slaughtered, like a sheep silent before its shearers, he did not open his mouth.{Acts8:30-35} After forcible arrest and sentencing, he was taken away; and none of his generation protested his being cut off from the land of the living for the crimes of my people, who deserved the punishment themselves. {Luke23:34} He was given a grave among the wicked {Matt27:31-60}; in his death he was with a rich man. Although he had done no violence {Acts13:27-29}and had said nothing deceptive {Heb4:15}, yet it pleased ADONAI to crush him with illness, to see if he would present himself as a guilt offering. If he does, he will see his offspring; and he will prolong his days; and at his hand ADONAI's desire will be accomplished. After this ordeal, he will see satisfaction. "By his knowing [pain and sacrifice], my righteous servant makes many righteous {Rom3:19-31}; it is for their sins that he suffers. {Acts13:38-41} Therefore I will assign him a share with the great {Phil2:5-11}, he will divide the spoil {Luke22:28-30}with the mighty, for having exposed himself to death and being counted among the sinners {Mark15:27-18}, while actually bearing the sin of many {Heb9:28}and interceding for the offenders." {Luke23:34}
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 50:6
I offered my back to those who struck me, my cheeks to those who plucked out my beard; I did not hide my face from insult and spitting.
Fulfillment
Mark 14:65
Then some began spitting at him; and after blindfolding him, they started pounding him with their fists and saying to him, "Let's see you prophesy!" And as the guards took him, they beat him too.
Z'kharyah (Zechariah) 11:12-13
Then I said, "If you want to pay me, pay me. If not, then don't." So they paid me thirty pieces of silver. The Lord said to me, "Throw the money to the potter." That is how little they thought I was worth. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter in the Temple of the Lord.
Fulfillment
Matthew 26:14-16
Then one of the Twelve, the one called Y'hudah from K'riot, went to the head cohanim and said, "What are you willing to give me if I turn Yeshua over to you?" They counted out thirty silver coins and gave them to Y'hudah. From then on he looked for a good opportunity to betray him.
Tehillim (Psalms) 22:1
... My God! My God! Why have you abandoned me? Why so far from helping me, so far from my anguished cries?
Fulfillment
Mattityahu (Matthew) 27:46
At about three, Yeshua uttered a loud cry, "Eli! Eli! L'mah sh'vaktani? (My God! My God! Why have you deserted me?)"
Tehillim (Psalms) 22:6-8
But I am a worm, not a man, scorned by everyone, despised by the people. All who see me jeer at me; they sneer and shake their heads: "He committed himself to ADONAI, so let him rescue him! Let him set him free if he takes such delight in him!"
Fulfillment
Mattityahu (Matthew) 27:39-42
People passing by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, "So you can destroy the Temple, can you, and rebuild it in three days? Save yourself, if you are the Son of God, and come down from the stake!" Likewise, the head cohanim jeered at him, along with the Torah-teachers and elders, "He saved others, but he can't save himself!" "So he's King of Isra'el, is he? Let him come down now from the stake! Then we'll believe him!"
Tehillim (Psalms) 34:20-22
He protects all his bones; not one of them gets broken. Evil will kill the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. But ADONAI redeems his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
Fulfillment
Yochanan (John) 19:33-37
but when they got to Yeshua and saw that he was already dead, they didn't break his legs. However, one of the soldiers stabbed his side with a spear, and at once blood and water flowed out. The man who saw it has testified about it, and his testimony is true. And he knows that he tells the truth, so you too can trust. For these things happened in order to fulfill this passage of the Tanakh: "Not one of his bones will be broken." And again, another passage says, "They will look at him whom they have pierced."
Tehillim (Psalms) 69:21
They put poison in my food; in my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink.
Fulfillment
Mattityahu (Matthew) 27:48
Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, soaked it in vinegar, put it on a stick and gave it to him to drink.
Tehillim (Psalms) 22:16-18
Dogs are all around me, a pack of villains closes in on me like a lion [at] my hands and feet. I can count every one of my bones, while they gaze at me and gloat. They divide my garments among themselves; for my clothing they throw dice.
Fulfillment
Mattityahu (Matthew) 27:34-35
...they gave him wine mixed with bitter gall to drink; but after tasting it, he would not drink it. After they had nailed him to the stake, they divided his clothes among them by throwing dice.
